Where we started
It started around a kitchen table.
Maro began in Sydney in 2019. We were a family who loved a good deal but were tired of paying too much for everyday things — and we thought, in our own small way, there had to be a better way to do this.
What started as a side project of sourcing fairly-priced electronics and home essentials grew, slowly, into something we're genuinely proud of. We don't have a glass-tower head office or an army of warehouse robots. We're a small team — most of us are related — and every order that leaves our door is packed, checked, and labelled by someone who actually cares whether it gets to you in good shape.
Over the last six years, more than 1,300 customers have left us positive reviews on eBay — 98% of them, in case you were wondering. We mention that not to boast, but because every one of those reviews was a real person whose day we hoped to make a little easier. A Mum buying a router that actually works. A Dad ordering a last-minute Father's Day surprise. A student grabbing a $20 cable before an exam. We treat every order the same way: like it matters. Because to us, it does.
